DFGE – Institute for Energy, Ecology and Economy was founded in 1999 as a spin-off of Technical University Munich. As an established carbon footprint expert, DFGE provides answers to questions in relation to environmental sustainability, international standardization and climate protection. DFGE services range from consultancy and carbon accounting to CSR communications with the goal to establish sustainability intelligence within corporations. DFGE, a leading provider in sustainability intelligence, started in 2016 to provide support on the setting, validation and implementation of Science Based Targets to a range of companies. Among these are automotive manufacturers and suppliers, retailers, electric utilities, and service companies.
We aim to make the SBT process as relevant and insightful as possible, openly addressing opportunities, but also challenges like the tracking of Scope 3 reductions. We see SBTs as one building block for a meaningful climate strategy.
